Update 3 & 4 codes — all new working codes explained

What Limbo Keys are

Limbo Keys arrived with Update 4 (July 11, 2026) alongside the Sword Incident event. Think of them as Limbo’s version of Dungeon Keys: a consumable you spend at a portal to enter instanced Limbo content with its own enemy waves, bosses and reward table.

The important distinction is that Limbo Keys and Dungeon Keys are not interchangeable. Dungeon Keys still gate Dungeons from Update 2; Limbo Keys only open Limbo encounters. If a code mentions Limbo Keys — like SWORDINCIDENT — redeem it immediately and check your inventory under the Dungeons or Events menu for the Limbo portal.

How to get Limbo Keys

  1. Redeem codes. SWORDINCIDENT (July 12, 2026) grants 2 Limbo Keys plus Stat Boosts, Yen Boosts and 1,000 Chikara Shards. UPD4RELEASE is the companion launch code with Fruit Rolls instead of keys. Both are on the active codes list.
  2. Sword Incident quests. During the Update 4 event window, event NPCs and side quests pay out extra keys on first completion.
  3. Admin Abuse weekend drops. BlockZone’s Admin Abuse sessions (July 11–18, 2026) often ship bonus keys live in-server — stay in a full server during announced abuse hours.
  4. Future patches. Rumbling and Dimension 2 may add new key sources; track dates on the events schedule.

How to use Limbo Keys

  1. Meet the Total Power gate shown at the Limbo portal (mid-game players from Dimension 2+ should qualify after Update 4 tuning).
  2. Walk to the Limbo portal in Dimension 1 (near spawn, beside the Dungeon entrance) or open the Limbo icon on the left-side menu.
  3. Select a Limbo tier and confirm entry — one Limbo Key is consumed per run.
  4. Clear waves, defeat the Limbo boss and claim rewards from the completion screen.

Rewards mirror high-tier dungeons: Chikara Shards, Yen, Fruit Rolls, Trait Rerolls and event-exclusive drops tied to the Sword Incident storyline. Pair Limbo runs with Trait Rerolls and Champion Summon sessions so every shard and roll compounds.

Run Dungeons when you need predictable mid-game Chikara and reroll bundles; switch to Limbo during Update 4 when event multipliers and Sword Incident loot are active.

Update 4 context

Update 4 + Admin Abuse launched July 11 and closed July 18, 2026. Limbo Keys remain useful for instanced rewards even though the Sword Incident event has ended. For the current live event, see the Rumbling guide and events schedule.

Redeem every active code before grinding Limbo. A typical Update 4 session: redeem SWORDINCIDENT and UPD4RELEASE, pop your boosts at a training spot, then burn Limbo Keys while event rewards are live.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Limbo Keys?

Limbo Keys are consumable entry tokens for Limbo content added in Update 4. They are separate from Dungeon Keys — you cannot use one type to enter the other's zones.

How do I get Limbo Keys?

The SWORDINCIDENT code (now expired) granted 2 Limbo Keys. Complete Sword Incident event quests and watch for future codes. Check the active codes page after every patch.

What is the Sword Incident event?

A limited-time Update 4 event tied to Admin Abuse weekend. It rewarded Limbo Keys, boosts and event quests that feed into the new Limbo zone.

Should I spend Limbo Keys or save them?

Spend keys while Limbo rewards are still relevant. Rumbling and Dimension 2 are the current priorities — Limbo remains useful for reroll bundles but the event window has closed.
